MACP, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Clinical Director

Hi, I’m Louis — and I’m truly honored to be part of your journey toward healing and growth.

As a second-generation Chinese Canadian raised in Toronto, I’ve witnessed firsthand the beauty and challenges that come with navigating cultural identity. These experiences have shaped the way I approach therapy: with openness, empathy, and a deep understanding of how culture, identity, and lived experience all impact our mental health.

In my current role at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), I support individuals living with complex challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and personality-related concerns. My work there allows me to bring evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) into my practice at Wise Psychotherapy Clinic — always tailored to meet you where you are.

Here at the clinic, I have a special passion for working with people who identify as neurodivergent — including those navigating ADHD, Autism, and the unique strengths and challenges that come with them. I believe therapy is more than “fixing symptoms”; it’s about creating a safe space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported while we explore both the struggles and possibilities of your lived experience.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. Together, we’ll work to:

  • Build resilience and coping strategies to handle life’s ups and downs

  • Explore how past experiences shape the present

  • Strengthen emotional awareness and self-compassion

  • Cultivate a sense of empowerment in moving forward

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck, please know you don’t have to go through it alone. I’d love to connect with you — whether through a free 15-minute consultation or ongoing sessions — and walk alongside you as you take steps toward healing, growth, and self-discovery.
